Warframe: Portal Lance Design

The developers of Warframe are hosting a weapon design contest and this is my submission.

The mechanic I've tied to this design makes it unlikely to get far, but chances are so low anyway that I thought I might as well go for something I'd personally love. Gates of Babylon is such a cool-looking Fate/ Stay Night power, Seer-style Orokin-Grineer hybrid weapons are an awesome and IMO underutilized concept, and both Charge Attacks and Channeling are mechanics that could use some love, as well as melee designs in general that aren't just about spamming (slide+)E. Obviously DE can ignore the gameplay suggestions, but seeing how Twin Basolk already has Rift Strike, idk what else they'd do with a melee weapon containing a Void Key. Not that I expect the concept to make it that far into consideration.
