Gwenpool Sketches

Welp, didn’t expect this one to get cancelled while I was sketching it. What a shame, it’s the one “big” Western comic I was following.

I expected it to be “Deadpool, but with cute girl” and to drop it after confirming that it was pretty much just eyecandy. Which more or less held true for the initial comedy arc. But it was followed up by a genuinely interesting drama arc gutpunch that had creative direction and writing and left me with one of the most likable and well-rounded protagonists I can think of off the top of my head.

If I hadn’t seen cool spoilers for the drama arc tho, I probably wouldn’t have forced myself through the comedy arc. Tho without the levity maybe I wouldn’t have cared about the drama? It’s a tough sell.
