Commission: Fire Satyr 3/4

This is possibly one of the most interesting scenes in the series, but I have to agree with your assessment that it's somewhat flawed. The fire hair is really the center of the piece, rather than just being a part of his anatomy - it's defining the lighting and shading of his face, as well as the bookcase behind him. If it were toned down a bit and allowed to just be a part of the piece, I feel like a lot of the flaws would clear up. Though the bookcase still wouldn't be level at the ground.

I actually quite like the effect of the glass, and the etchings raise a lot of questions. The quills and their lines of fire (?) are quite well done, and give a sense of mysticism to the piece. The costuming is also quite nice, giving us a chance at a full-body shot outside of the reference sheet. I can't quite tell whether he's supposed to be closer to red-skinned or dark-skinned, possibly because of the aforementioned lighting problems.

This one definitely had a lot of potential, and it might be worth revisiting and re-shading to get the kinks worked out of it.
